I race on a J24. Any particular gear I should be thinking about? SLAM Sea Perch boots, RC or Racing Evolution Long Johns and Spray Top/Jacket. Actually, these are pretty much a given no matter what your boat: J22, J24, Melges 32, Mumm 30, Etchell, Sonar--you name it.
I am doing a cold-weather delivery next week, followed by cold-weather racing on a Farr 40. Any suggestions? Add the SLAM first layer. It's extremely comfortable and soft, with a superior fit that doesn't put extra fabric in uncomfortable places like behind your knees. Also, the first layer shirt looks great onshore.
